Your story is important. Whatever you’ve experienced, your story deserves to be heard. Dialectically, there is power in that story, and there are times when it can impact internal beliefs and shape how we experience life. I believe we are unique in our range and intensity of emotions. Sometimes emotions get big and make us act (or freeze) in ways we didn’t intend to or know ourselves to be. Sometimes we were never taught the skills to cope, or we can’t access skills in the moment. I aim to provide you with a space to safely explore your story and behavior patterns, so you can create change.
I primarily work with individuals who often feel they’re not doing enough or fear they’re letting others down, even though they’re frequently the person others lean on. While my clients are deeply supportive of others, they can find it hard to recognize or prioritize their own needs. I’m passionate about helping individuals develop tools to navigate relational pain/trauma, communication breakdowns, family conflict, and life transitions with greater authenticity and self-compassion. I take a strengths-based approach using tools from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Internal Family Systems (IFS).
I aim to create a nonjudgmental space where you can gain coping skills to build more authentic relationships with yourself and those around you. I view therapy as a collaborative and individualized process, one that honors your unique experiences and moves at your pace. I encourage you to invest in this journey and view it as a path toward discovering yourself.
