Somatic Processing for Survivors of Sexual Trauma

Cinema Group Therapy

Art helps us make sense of our own lives and experiences. Art helps us connect to others and to themes that unite communities. Especially in uncertain or trying times, art is a form of expression that can inform us, comfort us, and motivate us. In cinema therapy, we use the art of movies to help us process our emotions and make sense of our current realities.

In our last group, we discussed themes such as identity, family conflict, grief/loss, friendship, love, emotional processing, and much more! Past films have included: Little Miss Sunshine, Moonlight, The Farewell, Frances Ha, Tangerine, Perks of Being a Wallflower, and much more. This group is for adults (18+) and will meet once a week for 8 weeks.
